What's Happening in Newcastle
Hello students! Freshers and uni veterans alike, welcome to Hope City Uni in the spectacular city of Newcastle. We’ve got an action packed term ahead of us at Hope City Church Newcastle and I cannot wait to get the party started!
From our fantastic Sunday Services at the heart of the city in St. James’ Park to our dynamic Uni Connect, we’re all about living our student life to the max: forging great friendships, making some mint memories and seeing our campuses and our city transformed by our amazing God.
There’s so much to get involved in: to whet your appetite, check out what’s up and coming in church life below and in the meantime, feel free to drop me a line. Looking forward to all that’s in store!

Here's what coming up...
Sunday's in Newcastle | Every Sunday at 11am
What? Our Sunday morning services are a great kick-start to your week. Crammed with dynamic praise and worship and inspirational preaching from the Bible, they are completely designed to help you make the most out of your connection with God, with His family and the opportunities to get stuck in.
Where? In case you can’t find St. James Park (the giant football stadium that’s the centre piece of the cityscape!) for the first four weeksof term (starting 3rd October) our friendly faces will be on Church Search, meeting outside Newcastle Uni Student Union at 10.30am to point you in the right direction.
Also during these four weeks, we have our FREE STUDENT SUNDAY LUNCHES!!! These will take place straight after the morning service at St. James! What better way to connect with some fellow students than over some great food? Sunday Lunches are also great to invite your uni mates along to. The more the merrier!
Student Connect Groups | Launching Tuesday 28th September
What? Connect is the small group network of Hope City Church and is THE place to be mid-week. A chance to meet some great people for some real laugh-a-minute family time, while really digesting the meat-and-two-veg goodness of a Sunday morning. Connect will inspire you to live a faith-filled life to the full and equip you to do it well.
Where? Stay posted for further details about our great venue close to campus. You can also check out the Connect pages of the website for more details.
1830's Hangouts | Launching September 2010
What? What makes the journey, is the people along the way. At Hope City Uni we love making time for the people in our world, building great friends and filling up the memory bank.
Where? As well as regular 1830s Hangouts in Newcastle city centre after our Sunday Night Live services once a month (19th September,31st October), we road trip down to our Sheffield congregation once a month for our 5 Cities Hangouts with the other congregations (17th October, 21st November).
Launching this September, we have monthly Hope City Uni Hangouts for you to explore some of the hidden treasures Newcastle has to offer. Why not invite your mates along?
