The summer of 2010 is well and truly upon us! Sunshine, long evenings and that summer vibe that puts a smile on everyone's face has finally arrived! There's no time like summer time. With it hotting up in Birmingham we also plan to turn up the temperature in Church. 2010 has been brilliant so far but we still believe the best is yet to come!
This year Beth and I are heading to Wales for our summer caravan trip, but with uncomfortable beds, the certainty of Welsh rain and the predictability that we will be covered in mossy bites doesn't make for a lot to look forward to! In church however there's stacks to look forward to as we continue to expand and strengthen everything we do and believe God for the City of Birmingham!
NEWS FLASH - As part of our dream to build a large, influential and exciting church in Birmingham we are pleased to announce that we will be sending down some Assistant Pastors to help strengthen and advance the congregation. We will be welcoming Simon and Olivia Bolton down to Brumland to help steer the ship. Formally the Youth Pastors in Sheffield, Simon and Oli have an infectious passion for Jesus, and their love for people will help build an incredible church in Birmingham. Simon and Olivia will also be launching a Sunday morning service in September... Watch this space for more info.
Plus as we turn the page and head into July we have two incredible Invitation Fridays. As part of 70 Days to Breathe we will be having 'At the movies Fridays' as we take life lessons from two of Hollywood's biggest blockbusters.. On July 2nd we will be drawing life lessons from Disney's 'Up' and on July 9th we be getting inspired by James Cameron's 'Avatar'. Both Fridays are designed for you to invite friends and family too. Plus there will be Krispe Kremes for everyone.
DONT FORGET! For all our teens and twenty something's we have Summerfest 2010 just around the corner. Its the great escape for 4 days and 3 nights for all our youth, young adults and students across all 5 cities! Book in now with our new reduced registration rate! Make sure you hook into our Connect Groups to feel really at home and part of the family and be sure not to miss our explosive Friday night services.... I've got a feeling you'll love them!
