Ta-Dah! This is September, which means it’s the birth of a new congregation in Hope City Church - Accra! NEW! Never seen before in Ghana but the adventure has now begun. We would SO love you to jump on board and get stuck into to Africa’s freshest new church, a place where you can find a new generation of faith-filled believers and connect with your God-given destiny – Come on, we’ve been expecting you!
I’m so looking forward to meeting you all now that Hope City Church is officially launched, here in Accra Ghana. I just know that God is preparing the hearts of many, many people to bring them to the undeniable realization that living for Jesus is the best life of all! This life is Hope City Life and we want to share it with you.
Here at Hope City, we believe life is a journey and not just a destination. Heaven’s coming for sure, but God’s church is a window into Heaven on earth, so we want you to get stuck into the life of the church straight away – it’s the best way to make friends quickly for the journey, and it helps make the vision come alive. To help kick-start the church in the first week we’ve got our very English Ghana Express Mission team coming from England for a whole week of fun on the streets and in the schools around Accra. If you get a flyer from one of our crazy team be sure to introduce yourself to me, or Karen when you first come to Hope City.
You know, in the Bible there’s a story of a man called Nehemiah who turned his city around, from a city of neglect and ruin into a shining star for the nations that glory to God. He famously asked the people, “Do you see the trouble we’re in! Let us rebuild the city.” The people listened to his vision and their response to this Godly leadership was fantastic, “Let us start the work” they replied! Here at Hope City, we’re believing for an army of young people to rise up and build God’s house in the city. We’re believing for a generation of older people who’ve grown tired and weary to be renewed and enthused by vision to touch lives with the heart of our Father God – Welcome to Hope City Life!
THIS MONTH!...
Kicking off with the Express Mission at the beginning of the month, our fantastic regular services now continue EVERY SUNDAY at the HOLIDAY INN, at 11:00am to 12:30pm. If you want to more than just a religious experience of God, but a genuine relationship with your loving Father then you’re going to love our energetic praise, intimate worship and clear preaching ministry. If you’re a student or aged around 18-30 you will love the fresh new thing God is doing through our church in Accra and if you have a family we will have crèche facilities and children’s workers for children aged 2-10 years.
Plus, don’t hesitate to get plugged into our Connect Groups every Wednesday night to catch up with each other mid week and really get connected into the heart and family of Hope City.
For Students and young people – Our first Campus Life event launches the first week in September and continues each month on campus. An opportunity to give God some great praise and get inspired to be the best you can be. Campus life brings a little Hope City life right to your doorstep!
Also, our amazing YES! COURSE is every Wednesday night and then repeated each Saturday morning. More than just a beginners guide to the Christian life, it’s designed to take you a journey of discovering who Jesus really is and what Christianity is all about.
